Structural Engineer / Senior Structural Engineer

Location: Exeter or Plymouth

Emtech are working with a growing Civil & Structural Engineering consultancy who are looking for a Structural Engineer to join their team in either Exeter or Plymouth at Engineer or Senior Engineer level. You will have the chance to run your own projects and have a Technician / Graduate who will work underneath you, supporting on projects.

Desirable Experience:

• 3-5+ years’ experience within structural engineering design for building projects such as residential, commercial, education or industrial
• A BEng or MEng Civil / Structural Engineering or Engineering Design and be a member of the relevant body such as the IStructE.
• Working towards chartership or the ambition to do so.
• Experience of building structures and a knowledge of steel, concrete, timber and load bearing masonry structures
• The ability to design to British Standards or Eurocodes.
• Experience with computer software is desirable – notably TEKLA Structural Designer, Robot and TEDDS.
• Experience across a variety of sectors such as commercial, educational and residential.
• Excellent communication skills with a positive working attitude.
